Weethalle Project - Judds Lane, Jansens Lane and Youngs Lane

Overview

Due to ageing infrastructure, Goldenfields Water will be renewing approximately 14 kilometres of mains South of the Weethalle township along Judds lane, Youngs Lane and Jansens Lane.

The renewal will begin near the intersection of Kolkibertoo Road and Judds Lane.

The renewal will include:

  • 14 kilometres of 100mm OPVC main replacing a combination of 100mm and 80m uPVC.

Timing

  • Detailed designs were completed in June 2020 by GHD.
  • Review of Environmental Factors (REF) undertaken late 2024 and finalised December 2024 by EnviroKey.
  • Construction commenced in January 2025.
  • Project to be completed by June 2025 dependent on weather.

The project will highly benefit rural customers, providing:

  • Decrease in supply interruptions.
  • Replacement of ageing infrastructure.
